Our Common Future is specifically designed to be a level meeting ground for changemakers of all kinds. You’ll exchange ideas with influential funders, collaborate with thought leaders, and learn with colleagues from organizations you don’t even know exist yet!

Some of the most important conversations happen over meals. You’re invited to step out of the hotel and into the community for an intimate dinner conversation about the inner values that ground your work in the world and the role they might play in strengthening our democracy. When the situation looked most dire, Detroiters rolled up their sleeves and innovated their way back towards prosperity. You’ll hear stories that couldn’t be told in any other city – and you’ll be inspired when you meet the changemakers telling them.

If you’re curious about how Detroit’s nonprofit community is tackling the city’s unique challenges, then be sure to (quickly) reserve a spot for Detroit Inside and Out. This limited-space set of tours will take you into communities throughout the Detroit area to see how social change work is happening on the ground.

What better way to kick off an event dedicated to the future than by celebrating the legacy of man who helped create it? Our opening night reception will be at The Henry Ford, one of American’s most impressive museums. This will be an evening that you won’t soon forget!
