Independent Sector’s business associate members are an important part of our membership because of the services they provide to the charitable community. Our business associate members include for-profit companies – such as law and accounting firms, B Corporations, consulting firms, and independent consultants working with the nonprofit sector or philanthropic community. Through IS membership, business associates benefit from our expertise on developments affecting nonprofits, foundations, and corporate giving programs, and establish greater visibility and connection with those organizations.
IS membership for business associates enables these members to stay current in areas that affect nonprofits – such as legislation, regulation, and media coverage – and demonstrates business associates’ commitment to the charitable sector.
Over the past year we welcomed the following business associate members as new or returning members to Independent Sector:
BoardWalk Consulting, Atlanta, GA – a national executive search firm devoted to the recruitment of CEOs and senior leadership for mission-driven organizations.
Equity Ventures Plus, LLC, Mansfield, TX – equity and inclusion consulting with a focus on addressing healthcare disparities. Dr. Kellee Randle, the CEO of Equity Ventures Plus, is a member of the inaugural cohort of the Bridging Fellows program.
HBK, Clark, NJ – a financial services firm offering tax, accounting, audit, business advisory, valuation, financial planning, wealth management, and support services.
Plenty, Michigan City, IN – consulting services to support conscious leaders who make a difference in the world and design for social purpose strategies to help them do it.
RevJen Group – a social enterprise dedicated to the empowerment of nonprofit leaders and the organizations they serve. RevJen Group equips social sector leaders with the knowledge, resources and support necessary to tackle their greatest challenges, amplify their impact, and fuel the greater good.
Ubuntu Leadership Institute, Bartlett, TN – the Ubuntu Leadership Institute is designed to assist future leaders in becoming the best version of themselves. The Institute seeks to create an atmosphere where leaders are asking themselves, “What impact am I having on the whole?” Sundiata Salaam, the founder of the Institute, was a 2021 American Express NGen Fellow.
