Erica Reid is the National Director of Programs at Friends of the Children, where she provides support to network leaders to help them achieve program fidelity, meet site-specific goals, and establish policies, procedures, and practices. She also supports prospecting and expansion into new communities across the nation. Erica has a personal mission of “serving youth, supporting families, and strengthening communities.” For over 15 years, she has devoted her career to educating and empowering both youth and adult learners in a variety of settings, including homes, preschool classrooms, college lecture halls, and nonprofit organizations. Her extensive work with children and caregivers is critical in supporting the expansion of Friends of the Children’s 2Gen model. Additionally, Erica is currently an adjunct instructor at a local community college and a member of numerous social and civic organizations. She earned her B.S. in Family & Community Services from East Carolina University and her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Advocacy in Early Childhood from University of North Carolina-Wilmington.
