Felexia Braxwell is Associate HR Generalist at Independent Sector. In this role, Felexia is responsible for supporting functional HR programs including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll and benefits administration. Prior to joining Independent Sector, Felexia worked at Trust Consulting Services, a government consulting company, as an HR Generalist where she played a pivotal role in implementing and improving HR programs such as talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development as well as employee engagement. Felexia also served in HR roles at the NC Department of Public Safety, H&R Block, and Lowes Corporate.
She holds a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina A&T State University in Communications with a focus in Public Relations. Felexia is currently pursuing her MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management at Louisiana State University. Felexia is a dedicated professional who enjoys fostering a positive workplace culture and has a knack for problem-solving. Outside of her professional commitments, Felexia enjoys exploring new dining establishments in the DMV area.
