Keesha Burke is Director of Programs and Convenings at Independent Sector. She leads the curation of national convenings, including Independent Sector’s National Summit 2025, as well as the development of learning strategies and programs to advance the organization’s mission. Keesha has extensive experience in designing cross-sector experiential programs, expanding curricula, leading training, and developing leadership capacity.
Previously, Keesha served in senior leadership roles in higher education where she expanded international education, oversaw student success initiatives, and led organizational change efforts. She was Chief Diversity Officer at Randolph College, Director of Student Success at Mount Mercy University, and Executive Director focused on leadership development and nonprofit advisory services. Keesha holds a Master’s Degree in Communications and is currently completing her Ph.D. in International Conflict Management. When she is not working, Keesha enjoys curating spaces for women leaders, practicing African dance, studying global leadership, and spending time with her sons Kadeem, Khadir, and Cadence.
