Lindsay Marcal is the manager of membership at Independent Sector. In this role, Lindsay is responsible for managing member retention processes and supporting member engagement. Previously, Lindsay worked for Jumpstart, an education nonprofit, in a cross-departmental role managing development, event-planning, communications, and operations. Prior to Jumpstart, Lindsay worked in development and communications at the National Breast Cancer Coalition. Lindsay has a graduate certificate in public relations from University of Maryland University College and a bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a volunteer at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue and HIAS.
