Tasha R. Fridia Pejuta Cangleska Win (Sacred Medicine Circle Woman) is an enrolled member of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes and is Kiowa, Caddo, and Hunka Oglala Lakota. Tasha holds a BA from the University of Oklahoma, MA-HR Development from Webster University, and a Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Tasha interweaves her traditional knowledge and western education throughout her work. As the Assistant Director of the Tribal Youth Resource Center (TYRC) housed at the Tribal Law and Policy Institute, she collaborates with tribes across Indian Country to implement Tribal Youth Programs and Juvenile Healing to Wellness Courts. Tasha also serves as a Policy Analyst and Political Advisor to the Vice President of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. As a consultant, she has assisted in policy development for numerous tribes and organizations.
Tasha works with various entities that range in focus areas from education equity to tribal economic development, in hope of advancing positive change in her community and beyond. Tasha is the legacy of many generations of activists and advocates dedicated to political, policy, and systems change. She strives to make her ancestors proud in everything she undertakes.
