The Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado offers a comprehensive toolkit for nonprofits and foundations to help them incorporate diversity, equity and inclusion at an organizational level. This helpful resource removes the dread many nonprofits feel about starting at “ground zero” with their diversity and inclusion efforts and replaces it with a robust set of resources, such as checklists and sample statements and policies, that nonprofits can review and adapt for the own use. The toolkit also offers examples, drawn from The Gay and Lesbian Fund’s grantee population, of different approaches that organizations can take in commonly addressed areas such as such as organizational leadership and board development. It also offers examples of how diversity and inclusion can be incorporated into policies, procedures and vendor relationships.
